Lisa Rimpf, Senator
After finishing my Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, I conducted environmental air pollution control research for 10 years before more moving into various functions focusing on Business Process Improvement, Operations Excellence, and Corporate Integrations. I accepted an expat assignment at Durr company headquarters in southwest Germany (near Stuttgart) and moved from the United States to Europe in October 2019. My current role is Business Applications IT Manager. In this position, I facilitate the interface between colleagues in the Clean Technology Systems division and IT to align business needs and computer-based tools, including SAP processes.
I am a proud lifetime senior member of SWE and have been active in all levels of local, former Regional, and Society leadership. And, after nearly 20 years of involvement in the USA, it is exciting to be a part of a geographically diverse group and see our organization from a different perspective. I am currently serving as a Global Ambassador and Senator for FY19-FY21. Formerly, I was elected to the FY17/18 Board of Directors as the last Director of Regions. Previously I held the roles FY16 Deputy Director of Regions and FY14/15 Ohio Valley Region G Governor.
With an appreciation for SWE’s rich history and legacy, I also embrace the future and vision for where we will continue to pave the way!
